Bruce MacIver is Executive Assistant to the President & CEO at the National Council of Nonprofits, where he is the primary support for the CEO and the Board of Directors. Bruce handles a wide range of duties to help facilitate the CEO's ability to effectively lead the organization.
Prior to joining the National Council of Nonprofits, Bruce worked as Executive Assistant and Operations Manager at The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) Public Affairs division, where he supported the Senior Vice President, Public Affairs, and managed operations for the JFNA Washington, DC office. Before joining JFNA, Bruce spent 15 years at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and was an Administrative Associate for the Dean of the School of Health and Related Professions.
After graduating high school in Vermont, Bruce joined the US Navy as a Cryptologic Technician where he served 6 years at various duty stations including Japan and Hawaii. In his free time, Bruce volunteers as a dog walker at the Charles County Humane Society and is an avid reader of Stephen King novels. Bruce splits his time between homes in Waldorf, Maryland and Greensboro, North Carolina with his husband, three dogs, and cat!
